How i want 2004 to be

What a year 2003 was. According to me it was a great year for Brand India. Great year for Indian Sports. The notable one was Hockey. It scaled great heights, we saw some breathtaking field goals by the ever dependable Gagan Ajit Singh.

Wonderful year for Indian Scams. If you ask me why its great, unless these scams come out in open, how would we know that scams do happen ? Mother of all scams, the stamp paper scam, Rs 30,000 crore scam came out in the open. I am sure scams are happenning in all spheres of a common mans life. We just have to bring it out in the open.

The golden quadrilateral project has gotten underway. Can you imagine what joy it would bring to the travelling public ? Travelling would be a lot easier, driving between Pune and Bangalore wont be such a mess anymore.
According to me one of the big infrastructural glitch that seperates us from a lot of developed countries - is the lack of roads.

Next big thing to happen to India is interlinking of rivers across the Indian mainland. Southern part of India especially Tamil Nadu will benefit a lot from this. To imagine Chennai without any water problem - whoa - that would be awesome.

One more stuff that would be great if the seeds are sowed this year - is opening the Indian-Pakistan borders.
Imagine free trade, free everything between these two countries. Imagine we get access to their roads to get to
the central Asian countries. Tears would flow through a lot of eyes - im sure.

One more stuff that i would like to happen is changing attitudes among each Indian to give back something to his/her society. At present, in a group of people, you can count the number of people who is trying to volunteer his/her time to the society, in one form or the other. There are a lot of NGO's who require volunteers to help them out. Reach out to them and feel good about it. We can draw inspiration from two young women Vaishnavi and Vandana, who went on to make a big difference in a lot of lives.

Let us make things great for our familes and other families.
